Description
The KV30-40D MK4 Test Set serves as a high voltage general purpose test instrument specifically designed for testing insulation systems and measuring breakdown voltage on electrical plant and components. It allows for variable output voltage ranging from zero to 30kV, providing accurate metering of both the output voltage and current. Additionally, it includes a zero-voltage interlock feature that restricts output energization unless the voltage control is set to zero.
This unit incorporates large, accurate true RMS digital meters that precisely measure the output voltage and current. The backlit meters, featuring a digit height of 19mm, ensure clear visibility even in different lighting conditions. To protect the test object and output, it offers an adjustable current trip. Users can set the trip level in 10% increments within the range of 10-110% of the rated output. In the event of a breakdown, the unit visually indicates the test object’s condition. Manual reset is necessary after a trip condition before resuming testing.
Execute timed tests effortlessly using the pre-selectable test timer provided with the KV30-40D MK4. It offers a range of durations, including 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 seconds, 1, 2, 3, or 5 minutes. An alarm will sound upon completion of the test time, ensuring precise timing. The unit also boasts automatic mains voltage selection, enabling seamless operation with different voltage inputs. Moreover, it features an external 24Vdc interlock circuit for connecting emergency off switches and enclosure interlocks, enhancing safety.
The KV30-40D MK4 AC Test Set arrives in a compact and portable case, facilitating easy transportation. It comes with a permanently connected 2-meter long HV output lead for convenient connectivity. As a standard accessory, you will receive an ES30 earthing stick, further enhancing the test system’s usability and functionality.
