Description

The KV15-80D Mk3 Test Set functions as a high voltage general purpose test instrument designed specifically for testing insulation systems and measuring breakdown voltage on electrical plant and components. It offers a variable output voltage range of zero to 15kV, ensuring accurate metering for both the output voltage and current. Additionally, it includes a zero-voltage interlock feature that requires the voltage control to be set at zero before energizing the output.

This unit incorporates large, accurate true RMS digital meters for precise metering of the output voltage and current. The backlit meters have a digit height of 19mm, enhancing visibility in different lighting conditions. To protect the test object and output, it provides an adjustable current trip. You can set the trip level in 10% increments within the range of 10-110% of the rated output. If a breakdown occurs, the unit visually indicates the test object’s condition. To resume testing after a trip condition, manual reset is required.

Conduct timed tests effortlessly using the pre-selectable test timer of the KV15-80D Mk3. It offers a range of durations, including 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 seconds, 1, 2, 3, or 5 minutes. An alarm will notify you when the test time has ended, ensuring accurate timing. The unit also features automatic mains voltage selection, enabling seamless operation with different voltage inputs. Additionally, it provides an external 24VDC interlock circuit for connecting emergency off switches and enclosure interlocks, enhancing safety.

The KV15-80D Mk3 AC Test Set comes in a compact and portable case, facilitating easy transportation. It includes a permanently connected 2-meter long HV output lead for convenient connectivity. As a standard accessory, you will receive an ES30 earthing stick, further enhancing the test set’s usability and functionality.
