Description

The KV30-100 MK3 Test System serves as a robust high power, high voltage AC test system specifically designed for insulation testing. It excels in both development and routine testing of electrical insulation systems and plant. This comprehensive system comprises a control unit and a separate oil-filled high voltage transformer connected by 5-meter supply and control cables.

The control unit is equipped with an extensive range of features for control, metering, and protection. Large linear analogue instruments display the output voltage and current accurately, ensuring easy readability. It includes a variable electronic trip that enables precise adjustment of the trip current within the 10% to 110% range of the rated output.

The high voltage transformer, housed in an oil-filled steel tank with swivel castors for mobility, plays a crucial role in the system. It utilizes a high voltage bushing for the HV output, while the other end of the HV winding remains earthed. The system incorporates variable electronic trips that monitor the output current to protect against potential issues, along with a fixed over-current trip on the primary side of the output transformer. The variable trip allows for adjustment in 10% increments between 10% and 110% of the rated output current. Fuses provide protection for the input and control supplies.
